About Us

Founded on 13 April, 2018, Frostybirb is a young indie game studio formed on the idea that video games can be fun, wholesome, and positive experiences. In a world divided by hatred, ignorance, and fear, we want to do our part to spread joy and happiness through the medium of video games. We believe that, as creators of media, we have the ability to shape the way people view the world. And we want to change that vision for the better. For as long as we can bring smiles to people's faces, and warm fuzzy feelings to their hearts, we will continue to do our best to deliver the best-quality games we can.

[INSERT PICTURE HERE] Arden Winter Sebexen, the lead developer and founder of Frostybirb, has been playing and making video games for as long as she can remember. A particularly big fan of the Sonic the Hedgehog and Spyro the Dragon series, some say you could sell her any game entitled "[Name] the [Animal]". In recent times, she has discovered a renewed passion for rhythm games, such as Dance Dance Revolution and StepMania. As a game developer, Arden has filled many different shoes. Getting her start in programming as a Lua scripter for an online game called Roblox and a producer of Crappy Flash Games (tm), she later graduated to writing mods for a small Java game called Minecraft. She spent the next couple of years modding assorted open-source indie and jam games, until her freshman year of college, when she decided to start taking herself seriously and began participating in game jams. After a particularly bad experience with a few failed projects, Arden decided she had enough, and resolved (in a fit of primal rage) that she would establish an indie game company that would fight back against life's lemons using the combined powers of friendship and happiness. She decided to name the company "Frostybirb," combining her love of the winter season (wow, what a coincidence) with her love of fluffy, feathered critters. Today, she is both a game dev and a full-time student, pursuing a major in Music with a minor in Theatre Arts at Stony Brook University.
